Engadget reports that the Slingbox folks are releasing version 2.0 of their Slingplayer 2.0 software for public beta testing.
If you are not familiar with the Slingbox, it’s a gizmo that allows you to watch the content of your DVR, cable box or satellite tuner on your computer or mobile device anywhere in the world. So you can not only timeshift, but placeshift.
That’s New Media for you: content when and where you want it.
