Bad News for “Watchmen” Fans: Lawsuit May Prevent Film’s Opening
A legal dispute with Fox over the rights to Watchmen could put the Warner Bros. release in limbo. Terrible. Someone must have dropped the ball during development. Lame.
UPDATE: Variety has more, but not much.
The way I see it, either Warners fights this in court or they agree to let Fox be a profit participant. A protracted lawsuit could mean that the movie’s opening will be postponed, which means postponing a nice chunk of revenue.
