WSJ: Congressional aides regularly receive bonuses. Paid – of course – with your tax money…
More evidence that some bonuses are more tolerable than others. Given that Congress is partly responsible for the financial crisis and that Congress’s approval numbers are at an all-time low, aren’t these bonuses as outrageous as any paid out on Wall Street? Just sayin’…
I just heard on the radio that the White House has admitted that the portion of the Stimu-pork bill allowing a state legislature to take stimulus funds after a governor turns them down is wrong.

Hey, just in case you have nothing to do…
What’s up with Obama’s new HHS nominee Kathleen Sebelius? Plenty! A mortgage mystery and tax-paying “errors”, too. Instapundit posted a roundup of related news yesterday (sorry, was computer-less for much of the day yesterday). Must Obama’s HHS nominee have tax “problems” as a rule? His first one – Tom Daschle – did as well.
Or is it just that our fearless leaders – regardless of party – tend to get their taxes all wrong? Or is the Tax Code so ridiculously complicated that it’s either too onerous or difficult to comply with it? Probably a combination of the these two.
Also, odds are the Obama White House doesn’t think “tax problems” in a nominee are a big deal…
