CIA, You’re So Mean! Bwaah!
Politico: Congressional Democrats think the CIA is out to get them:
The CIA has long been on the receiving end of harsh rebukes from Congress…But with the release of records showing that it briefed members of Congress [on the harsh interrogation techniques used on terrorism suspects], the CIA has effectively put lawmakers on the defensive.
I suspect putting others on the defensive for the sake of scoring political points is OK only when Democrats do it. Otherwise, I don’t get why these Dems are whining. Maybe it’s because their (and the administration’s) demagoguing of waterboarding is not turning out as they expected.
