What the hell is an “abuse of democracy” anyway? And how much bad karma did USA Today – a newspaper – just emitted by sponsoring a poll that frames legitimate forms of expression as an “abuse of democracy”?
Assuming that we can agree to define democracy as “government by the People” and our particular democracy as a representative one, if anyone is abusing democracy right now it’s those members of Congress who act as if it’s perfectly ok to vote for bills which they won’t read and for whose consequences they could care less – not to mention ignoring the voices of those whom they represent.
That aside, who would have thought that the “undemocratic”, angry Mobs of August agitating against Obamacare would end up being perceived by so many Independents – aka “Moderates” – as sympathetic?
The Left is going to need a bigger Sorosphere…
