WaPo: White House not sure how to fight back.
Note how an aide in the article is quoted as remarking that racism is not at the heart of the many attacks against the White House.
They know it doesn’t poll well, so that what they say. But they must like the meme’s potential chilling effect. Otherwise, Obama would give a whole prime-time speech on this view – and its dangers – himself.
