I don’t understand why any liberal would ever say such a thing openly. You are really clarifying that Dems were NOT serious about a national security and defense policy point?
Why don’t you just go ahead and draft Carter for an Uber-czar position with the current administration? It’ll help you achieve a Democrat implosion in 2010 with much more certainty.
