Strange question of the week: Was Hasan a terrorist or not?
Media and government types just keep pondering the above question. But does it really matter whether Hasan was trying to instill terror on the American populace or not?
In the end, whether Hasan can be called a terrorist or whether he had ties to a terrorist organization is about as important as how many people at a Kiss concert are members of the Kiss Army.
The bottom line here is that a follower of a certain extremist religious persuasion which has been targeting Americans for decades decided to do exactly that at Fort Hood last week – and caused a lot of harm. So let’s stop fooling ourselves before we get even more painful rude awakenings like last week’s: radical Islam is at war with the U.S. and Western society at large.
