Mark Steyn: Shooter exposes hole in U.S. terror strategy.
While everybody else looks to either excuse Hasan as a victim of some sort of stress or another – or wonders whether Hasan carried out an act of terror or not – Mark Steyn gets to the essence of the problem. But I’d go one better and say it’s a big hole in U.S. national security strategy. We simply let our guard down.

UPDATE: ABC News reports the U.S. government knew Hasan had tried to contact Al Qaeda.
Unless Al Qaeda provides counseling services as a fringe benefit, that PTSD theory is looking thinner and thinner…
