The Towel of Indifference: Killer Rabbit 2009?
I’ve been saying for a while now that the Carter years will end up looking better than the Obama years by comparison when it’s all said and done.
The only thing missing was a Killer Rabbit, I thought: an iconic image encapsulating some – if not all – of the worst aspects of the administration.
I used to think this would result in Killer Rabbit imagery. But, of course, Obama is nowhere to be found in the resulting videos or photo of that day’s scary events the way President Carter is in the photos of the Killer Rabbit incident.
But there’s no mistaking Obama in this picture taken just 3 days after the Flight 253 near-miss, before he even took the time to speak in public about Detroit’s underwear bomber. That’s the Killer Rabbit of our times: the Towel of Indifference.
