UPDATED: Only One Man Can Stop “The Dithering”
It’s not the term “suspect” as used by Obama that was generally seen as problematic. It’s the term “allegedly” as applied to what was known at the time even by Obama’s own administration. Perhaps most telling of all is the word Obama didn’t use that day: terrorist.
At any rate, Krakauer can paint Fox Nation and the entire Right-wing Blogosphere as a bunch of hypocrites all he wants, of course. Who cares? The man is entitled to his opinion. But the fact remains that their hypocrisy or lack thereof is irrelevant to Obama’s dithering. Which is to say that nothing and no one can do away with The Dithering…except for Obama himself. There’s always next year, POTUS, but I ain’t holding my breath.
Even if Dick Cheney gave Obama a big thumbs-up on a daily basis, Obama would remain bathed in his own dithering…with the Towel of Indifference somewhere nearby.
UPDATE: Professor Douglas links with related content. Thanks!
Plus, White House responds to Dick Cheney’s comments within hours, as opposed to Flight 253, which took them days. Of course, with this bunch it’s politics above everything/nothing above politics.
