10 Greatest Legal Movies…Of All Time?

THR, Esq. has the list.

But some notable titles are definitely missing from it.  No The Verdict?  No …And Justice For All?  (which is not about Metallica, but stars Pacino in top form).  No Anatomy of a Murder?

My Civil Procedure II professor actually made watching The Verdict our first class assignment – along with Class Action, which I saw in the theater back in the 80′s.  Great movies, both of them.  Also, as the comments suggest, Billy Wilder’s Witness For the Prosecution is a must-see.

Glad to see My Cousin Vinny made the list.  I found it a lot funnier after my 2L year, strangely enough.

The list is objectively wrong on one point: the Coens did not write Intolerable Cruelty.  In fact, that film is famous for being the first Coen picture not written by either one of the Coens.

Monotony: The Horror of Doc Review is not on the list, but that’s because it hasn’t been produced yet.  It’s only a matter of time…
