As I’ve said before, this is the wrong way to go about demonstrating in favor of “immigration reform”.
The reason no immigration bill hasn’t gotten traction in Congress of late is not that Republicans don’t want it. It’s not that Democrats don’t want it. It’s that most Americans are turned off by the socialists, separatists, and extremists who seem to dominate every pro-illegal alien demonstration of late. When Ronald Reagan signed amnesty into law back in ’86 or so, you didn’t see this kind of stuff.

But at least a real, working hoverboard exists (like in Back to the Future, Part 2…almost) .
If your intellectual aspirations drive you to pursue Religious or Women studies, don’t pay $50,000/year for the privilege. Go library-hopping or shop for used books on Amazon, then devour every book in your fields of interest for 4 years.
By the time you’re done, your education should be comparable to that of your average liberal arts school grad (tons of knowledge with few marketable skills). Maybe you won’t get a diploma out of it, but given the cost/benefit differential, would you really want one?

Where has Paul Begala been? The president has achieved just the opposite: he has actually made independents and even some Democrats yearn for fiscal responsibility, which is a conservative idea and a central tenet of the Tea Party movement.
Some say that fiscal soundness is neither a Democrat nor a Republican idea. That’s obviously true. Republicans spent money to no end while in control of Congress. And so have Democrats. But fiscal discipline is a conservative idea. And if you are unwilling to admit to that, maybe you will at least agree that it’s definitely not a socialist one. I mean, just look at Greece…or California.
UPDATE: The Democrats’ greatest hope is based on “running as far away from Washington and the established political leadership as possible, and embracing a socially and fiscally conservative agenda”? Someone give Begala a clue…
