California: “We Have Seen the Nazis…and They Are Us!”
Welcome to the Golden State of Posturing! California has its own SB 1070: In fact, it was part of California’s infamous Proposition 187 – a state-wide ballot measure passed by popular vote in 1994 intended to discourage illegal immigration – which illegal immigrant advocates and Latino race pimps denounced to no end. A lawsuit ensued, and portions of Prop. 187 were struck down as unconstitutional.
But guess which portion survived and went on to become part of the California Penal Code? Section 834b, which parallels Arizona’s SB 1070 in several important ways…
