UPDATED: Instant Alinsky’s Gonna Get You

For the record, I don’t see anything wrong with showing politicians that you are displeased with them – reasonably, that is.  Mayhem, vandalism, and other mischief in order to show dissent is not something I ever endorse on this blog – or anywhere.  Though I will admit I certainly approve of vigorous mayhem in case tyranny is ever imposed by a few over the many for the sake of that old Leftie cause that they like to call “revolution”.

But Leftie posts like this one from NoMoreMrNice seem quite outraged at criticism of angry pro-public-employee-union crowds in Wisconsin.  Though – really – Lefties get outraged about any point of view that diverges from their own (but when they do something about that outrage then you really have to worry).

I think NoMoreMrNice is missing something here.  The reason why angry public employee crowds are to be exposed, is – put simply – to expose Leftie hypocrisy.  I don’t think it’s merely because of their tone.

You see, just six weeks ago the Right was lectured on “civility” by Lefties on the wake of the Tucson massacre.  And for almost two years before that the Left wouldn’t stop chastising the Tea Party movement over their bold, angry mobs.  Now Lefties in Wisconsin – as the juxtaposed videos at the link show – are acting a lot like Tea Partiers (except for the success part).

It’s as simple as that.  What did you expect?  That the Right would let such hypocrisy slide?  It’s not the Rightosphere’s fault that you broke the rules that one of your prophets commanded you to follow.

Now you have to pay a penalty.  It’s called credibility.  And you’ve lost it.  And from the way things are going in Wisconsin, that’s not all you’re going to lose…

UPDATE: And how could I forget this gem from MSNBC.  It’s not a double standard.  It’s the party line.
