UPDATED: White House Messaging Fail: Farenheit 2011?
The sound of Michael Moore being consistent: Bin Laden was executed. “The ‘Fahrenheit 9/11′ director has been setting Twitter aflame Wednesday afternoon urging the Obama administration to come clean about the circumstances surrounding the terrorist leader’s death“.
Well, not that consistent: “I have a lot of faith in Obama, but we’ve received three different stories in three days.”
If Obama were a Republican, it’s a good bet that Moore’s reaction here would be much more pronounced. But that’s why Moore’s a good gauge of how poorly the administration has been managing its victory lap narrative. In fact, one could say without exaggerating that the story has come to feel more like a cover-up scandal and less like good news from the front. Weird.
