TOM on Ezra Klein saying that Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan shows “lack of policy seriousness”: “Ezra Klein never criticized President Obama for a ‘lack of policy seriousness,’ although the president’s policies have led to economic disaster.” True. But, to be fair, Hope and Change weren’t even policy proposals. They were just pretty words.
But didn’t Ezra Klein’s old Journolist cabal show a lack of journalistic seriousness? And, therefore, should anybody care about anything Ezra Klein says when it comes to politics?

We the Rich: Michael Moore deplores Wall Street greed: “They weren’t just happy enough with multi-billions, they wanted tens of hundreds of billions, maybe even trillions”.
This from the guy who wasn’t just happy enough with the millions he’d already made from his fiction-mentary Farenheit 9/11, so he sued for more. Video at the top link.
Moore and Olby – as seen on the video – put too much stock in the #Occupy movement. If the Left wants its own Tea Party, they are doing it wrong. It takes more than demonstrations to influence government. In fact, the #Occupy movement is merely occupying space and nothing else. A real occupation consists – in part – of taking the reins from a regime that was in power before. The Tea Party is in the process of accomplishing that with the GOP. The Left hasn’t even begun challenging the Democratic party, which in many instances is behaving just like the kleptocrat strawmen Moore is whining about here.

Regarding that story about the potential cancellation of The Simpsons, it all makes sense now: the property could be much more profitable for Fox after cancellation.
Either commercial airtime doesn’t pay what it used to, or the cast has become – in fact – too expensive for the show’s own good…

The problem is Senate Democrats haven’t acted to pass it either. And, even worse, at around the same time [Obama 2012 campaign manager] Messina and the president were complaining about the House GOP not voting on the jobs bill, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., announced he would block an attempt to bring the jobs bill to the floor of the Senate for a vote.”
I guess we’re expected not to notice how poorly received the ‘Jobs” bill has been on the Hill. If I were they, I’d move on to something else. But it’s very likely that for Obama 2012, there’s just nothing else to campaign about until the GOP gives them a candidate to campaign against…

Recovery Bummer, Hollywood Edition: Fox TV Studio Says It Can’t Produce ‘The Simpsons’ Under Current Business Model: “The Daily Beast had reported that the TV studio is looking for a 45 percent pay cut for voice talent. It said studio executives have otherwise threatened to end the series”.
That bad, huh? Well, if any of the cast voted for ‘Hope and Change’ at least they got the change. How sad will it be if the Obama recession somehow killed one of the world’s favorite TV shows of all time?
