Blogger Burnout? That seemed to be the weekend’s catchphrase around the Dextrosphere upon the news that the excellent Don Surber was retiring from blogging.
The whole thing struck a chord with me, I must confess. I haven’t blogged much in recent weeks myself – and I wasn’t sure if it was burnout or the fact that I have to many other things to do.
Not feeling very burnt out on blogging today, that’s for sure…

On the contrary, Howard! The general tenor of the right’s reaction to the president’s “slow-jam” performance has been about the incongruity of some Obama supporters pointing at it as evidence of Obama being cool, when everybody knows he’s not doing cool things.
Unless raiding marijuana clinics, the drone strikes in Yemen (a country with which we’re not at war), and opposing gay marriage are cool. Is that what passes for cool in elite media circles these days?
