Charles Durning has passed. He was the bomb. What a presence on screen, whether it was Dog Day Afternoon or Oh, Brother Where Art Thou? Even as a very old man on Rescue Me. It didn’t matter. He delivered every time. Rest in peace.
Same for Jack Klugman. I used to watch reruns of The Odd Couple sitcom as a kid in Mexico – and Quincy, M.E. with my dad, some years later. Klugman was always a pleasure to watch at work.

Give Fredo Something to Do: President Obama Launches Gun-Violence Task Force to be headed by VP Joe Biden.
If Fredo is running things, gun owners either have a lot to fear or nothing to worry about. On the other hand, if this task force is any bit as effective as the team of notables POTUS brought together in his National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, you can rest assured gun freedoms will only expand.

The Link Between Food and Headaches: “Woke up with a hangover? It isn’t just heavy alcohol consumption that can bring on a massive headache the next day; some researchers say a range of unexpected foods, from cheese to pickles to citrus fruit, can do the same.”
