Back in 1999 or 2000, when I first got a place of my own without any roommates other than my dog, I went without cable for a whole year (I thought it was just too expensive).  Netflix was new back then, but it was ideal at providing me with content to enjoy on my TV screen.  I didn’t miss TV at all.
